• PHP Cli on Ubuntu with problem “MIB search path”

    I recently have chance to work with a brand new Ubuntu Server. I install and configure a Joomla server base on Ubuntu 14.04, when I try to use php client in command with auto load function. It show me the message like this relate to “MIB search path”MIB search path issue in ubuntu

    Well, it ‘s too much for us to understand. But luckily, after an hour research on internet I found the solution.

    You just need to uninstall php5-snmp extension then everything should work well. Do this command line

    That ‘s it!

      Thanks. Yes it works! Additionally, running apt-get autoremove removes the unnecessary stuffs. Mine was Nginx php5-fpm though. It searches for $HOME/.snmp/mibs and gets nothing and returns errors.

      apt-get install snmp-mibs-downloader

      The above command downloads various non-free MIBs which the free MIBs (included with distro) require to work.

      There are still a handful of errors, after installing this non-free package, but the snmpwalk now works.
